"Complicated VS Simple Life"
ok. basically this blog is just to let you all read about some of my thoughts, since people sometimes don't really listen to what i have to say. so maybe they'll read what i ever thought.
anyway, just wanna tell ya'll about something that i wrote for my reflection journal (RJ) that i did for "homework" in skool. the topic was something like, do you wish to make life simpler since many people claim they lead a complicated life. what i wrote as a response to this was, no i would not want a simple life. my complicated life may piss me off sometimes, but at times it gets fun. we all know life is not consistent, and that's what makes it complicated. however an inconsistent life makes life interesting! imagine a simple life (like the life i'm leading now-.-). it'll be really boring when every week or every day becomes a routine for you. it's almost like sleepwalking.
imagine if life was simple. things would be the same everyday and nothing changes. that means if you are born in poverty, you should just commit suicide because there is no way you can change the course of your life! because of a complicated life, there are unexpected times when something good or bad happens to us. this allows us the opportunities to change the course of our lives, and this is why phrases like "from rags to riches" and "dream come true" even exists! because life is complicated, we gain inspiration from other people's life. we also gain good experiences in our lives.
because of my complicated life, i get to travel to and fro Clovis in USA and singapore. i get to experience all the fun! i made great friends there, and had a great childhood. if life was simple for me, i wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to stay there for 3 years, and get involved in bowling. i wouldn't have gone to singapore sports school and be part of singapore's national team.
that was pretty much what i wrote for that question in my RJ. besides, the complications and problems you face in life, was meant to be. God planned whatever happens to happen. Why did Jesus and his disciples get caught in a storm when they were crossing the sea? it was planned! Jesus knew there would be a storm, but yet he brought his disciples through it.
most of the time, God blesses us with complications and obstacles so that we can gain certain values like patience, or discipline. i remember i prayed for patience, and God granted a handful of people that really pissed me off with their laziness. basically, i did all the work myself. but it was worth it because as i gained patience, i gained the respect of my groupmates.
So, what would you like? simple or complicated?:)Amen †

2 Corinthians 12:9-10, "'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
Phillipians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
